Our History

Over 70 years ago in the heart of East Tennessee's marble industry, a train carrying huge marble blocks derailed on a peninsula in Friendsville, TN. The marble was left where it fell, along with the abandoned railway.

In 1996, the property was purchased by Bill and Donna Cobble, who used the raw marble to create an entrance gate, giving the name Marblegate Farm. The entrance, with the iconic stone pillars, leads you to a marble-studded waterfront.

Here, history continues to make a memorable impression on this stunning landscape, while creating an unforgettable setting for the most special days.
